About MeHi! & Welcome to my portfolio site. My name is Sydney A Steinberg - if you were wondering, the A stands for Alexandra.
Based in Los Angeles, California, I am a rising filmmaker with a passion for narrative film and television. I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Elon University (May, 2023) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinema and Television Arts, and a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. And, I am fascinated by how the content we consume can affect everything from our perceptions and outlooks, to our daily habits. I have always approached projects from a conceptual angle, and it seems with each character I write, and each world I build, I fall more in love with the idea of cinema and our ability as filmmakers to connect and share stories through images. I am currently interested in pursuing screenwriting and directing, and have on-set experience with 1st assistant directing, script supervising, and production design. I am passionate about the environment and cooking, and feel most at peace when surrounded by plants or in the kitchen with friends (double win if the kitchen has plants!). I am constantly exploring how to incorporate sustainability practices into all facets of my life, and looking for opportunities to further my creative growth. I believe you must write what you know to lend a truthful eye to a fictional story, and so the best writers must know a whole lot. |
